How to Make Any Treasure (Even Horrible Ones) Work for Someone!

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

Think of all the junk you’ve received (and given).  Don’t you wish there was a better way?  Well, there is a better way my friend  In my opinion the best gifts to give anyone are coffee gift baskets.

Unfortunately, we don’t always receive something as cool as Gift Baskets.  That’s the reason for my gift to you.

Everyone has been given a gift that is not the most desired gift.  You can donate it to a worthy cause, or post it on www.freecycle.com where everything donated is free to users.  You may bury the horrible gift in a box where you may never run into it again.  Whatever you do don’t dispose of the item.

We all know about re-gifting, a risky and often unpleasant practice.  Regifting is not usually a acceptable custom.  Especially if the person that gave you the gift finds out.  There are a number of ways to make use of your gift, without the uncomfortable and deliberate re-wrapping and passing along.

1.  Make a special gift box.  It is wise to label the gift with where and when you got it.

2. Place gifts that are of no use to you in the treasure chest.

3. Over time, group similar items together i.e. games, movies, an outfit, etc.

4. Try to give multiples of a like item.  Take DVDs for an example.  Take the films, and place them in a gift bag with a bow. You can add to the theme of the gift by including popcorn.  If you are giving the films to an adult or family, try upping the gift with a nice bottle of wine.  The goal is to avoid spending too much, but make a nice gift.  Make sure that you are not giving the gift back to the individual that gave it to you.

With a bit of experience and personalization regifting can be acceptable and fun (as long as you don’t get caught!)

If you want to give a gift that someone really wants I suggest giving custom Gift Baskets.  So head on over to Nectar of Life Organic Coffee Company, they’ve got a great selection of coffee gift baskets and other gifts.
