Fun and Silly Christmas Games Children Will Love Playing

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

There are so many ideas of games you can play with kids at Christmas. If you take time to properly plan for the games, the kids will have a safe and fun time.

Candy Cane Relay Game

A candy cane relay starts with 2 teams. Each team gets 4 candy canes. The candy canes might break so make sure you have extras. The kid running has the candy canes between their fingers with hook of the cane hanging over them. You can't use your thumbs because the candy canes need to be placed between your fingers.

The kids run to their teammate and exchange the candy canes using only their fingers. The teammate runs to the other end and does the same thing. The game is stopped when 1 team has candy canes that aren't on the floor.

Santa Says Game

The timeless game "Simon Says" is always a favorite with kids. The holiday version is Santa Says Game, with Santa giving commands to the players instead of Simon. Just like Simon Says, Santa says to dance or Santa say to jump up and down. Lastly, you don't include the "Santa says" part to fool the kids.

Christmas Freeze Dance Game

Celebrate the holiday joy with your own Christmas freeze dance. Put on Christmas songs while the kids dance around. When the music is shut off, all the kids must stop.

Frosty The Snowman Party Game

Create a big cutout of Frosty from cardboard. You have to cut a hole in the belly of Frosty for the snowball toss. To create snowballs, put marshmallows in plastic bags or use foam balls from the craft store. Have the players take a step back and toss snowballs into the belly of Frosty. The first player to get 3 snowballs in the stomach wins a prize.

One last thing — Imagine the look on your child’s face if they received a personalized Santa letter from the North Pole. It's a gift that makes a strong and lasting impression.
